Program Overview

Your CIEE Summer Intern and Study Abroad program in Rome lasts 6 weeks and features three key components: A part-time internship with an international organization (15-20 hours per week), an internship seminar, and a 3-credit academic course taught by CIEE faculty or online through CIEE’s global academic partner, ASU. Enhance your experience with cultural and extracurricular activities while building career skills, expanding your professional network, and immersing yourself in Italian culture. Live, learn, and work in Rome!

Program Highlights

  • Step back in time with a day trip to Pompeii, the ancient city frozen in time by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.D. 
  • Visit an Artificial Intelligence (AI) exhibition and have a round table on the future of AI on today’s workplaces and the future of work 
  • Discover the artistic heart of Italy with a day trip to Florence, the birthplace of the Renaissance
