[COURSE OVERVIEW]

Course Description - "International Business: Focus on Latin America" (IBUS 337)

The objective of this study is to introduce students to fundamental aspects of the business environment and culture in Latin America. This experience will demonstrate to students what a vibrant business environment exists in Latin America today. Latin America has been transformed over the past 30 years and nowhere is this more evident than in the prosperous market of Peru, a country whose economy almost doubled in size over the past ten years.

The experience will also give students a sense of how regionally and globally integrated Latin America has become by looking at the strong trade and investment ties that Peru has forged with China, for example, over the past ten years. These strong ties represent both an opportunity and a risk to Peru, and these will be underscored during the visit.
