[OVERVIEW]

  • Term: Summer, 4 weeks
  • Location: Strasbourg, France (including surrounding areas)
  • Credits: 7 (for two courses)
  • Eligibility:
    • Undergraduate Students
    • All Ramapo College students in good academic and judicial standing are eligible
    • Students of other U.S. colleges or universities are also eligible
  • Course Credit
    • Undergraduate Students: Earn a total of 7 credits for a Management course (4 credits) and an Intercultural Communications course (3 credits)

[Course Overview]

About the Program
Students will enroll in 2 courses taught at the European Study Center. The courses will total 7 US credits and will include both classroom
instruction and service-learning/professional development elements and excursions. The academic courses examine leadership from the
perspectives of Political Science, Sociology, International Business, and Management.


Courses (two courses taught back to back over 4-weeks)
Session I (5/24-6/7) : MGMT 410: Leadership Strategy & Skills (4-credit Ramapo course taught by Ramapo Professor, Dr. Rikki Abzug)
Session II (6/10-6/21): BINT 3366 Intercultural Communication (3-credit course taught by international faculty that would transfer to
Ramapo as MGMT 301 or equivalent International or Communications course)

 


[Accommodations]  

Participants stay in double occupancy rooms at the 18th century French castle, Château de Pourtalès, surrounded by a large nature park

[Cost]

Program cost: $5,070
Program cost includes: Price includes housing (including breakfast), tuition for 2 courses, orientation program, welcome and farewell dinner, field trips and excursions, group pick-up and transfer on arrival day, and international health insurance for the duration of the program.
Program cost does not include: Airfare; some meals; personal expenses and immunization costs.

Late Fees : A late fee of $35 will be assessed for each payment not received by the payment deadlines communicated to you by the International Programs Office.
